The inaugural International Forum on Sustainable Development was successfully held from October 25 to 27, 2024 in Beijing. The three-day event brought together more than 50 experts and policymakers from over 14 countries, including representatives from United Nations agencies, international financial institutions, and leading research universities worldwide.

The forum featured comprehensive discussions on critical sustainability challenges, with keynote addresses and panel sessions focusing on climate-resilient urban development, circular economy transitions, and implementation pathways for the Sustainable Development Goals.

The newly launched International Forum on Sustainable Development is dedicated to advancing the integrated vision of "Environment and Health Sustainability", grounded in the "One Health"philosophy that recognizes the fundamental interconnectedness of all living systems and their environments.

This pioneering initiative seeks to drive comprehensive disciplinary progress in environmental health sciences while generating innovative perspectives and solutions for achieving harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature. By cultivating robust international cooperation across multiple disciplines and sectors, and by actively engaging emerging scholars through youth partnership networks, the symposium aims to make substantive contributions toward realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and advancing the collective vision of a shared future for humankind.

The forum will function as a dynamic international platform facilitating knowledge exchange and solution-oriented dialogue among leading scientists, policy experts, and next-generation researchers committed to developing actionable strategies for planetary sustainability.
